The Coalition for Music Education Announces the Winners of The Tune Up: Student Songwriting Contest
The highly anticipated The Tune Up: Student Songwriting Contest has officially concluded, celebrating the incredible musical talents of young Canadian songwriters in three age categories: Junior, Intermediate, and Senior. The contest, which seeks to showcase and nurture the creativity and passion of student songwriters, has recognized outstanding individuals for their exceptional contributions to music.
After weeks of submissions and a rigorous judging process, we are thrilled to announce the winners in each category:
Junior Category
Winner: Carlyle Grade 6 Students

“We are so proud of all the participants who poured their hearts into this contest,” said Stacey Sinclair, the Executive Director of The Coalition for Music Education. “The talent displayed by these young songwriters is nothing short of inspiring, and we are excited to give them a platform to share their voices and creativity with the world.”
In addition to receiving recognition for their achievements, the winners will receive various prizes including experiential learning opportunities for their whole classroom. Prizes include a Metalworks Institute Online Scholarship, Creative Workshop at Metalworks Studios, Mentorship opportunities with Music Industry Professionals courtesy of SoundsUnite Canada.
Their winning songs will also be featured on our MUSIC MONDAY online broadcast, website and social media channels.
The Tune Up: Student Songwriting Contest is designed to encourage the next generation of songwriters to develop their skills, showcase their talents, and express themselves through music. By offering a platform for these young artists, the contest hopes to foster creativity and learning, and provide them with the tools and support they need to continue pursuing their musical aspirations.

Accords à cœur, le concours étudiant d’écriture de chansons vient de se conclure. Célébrant le talent exceptionnel de jeunes auteurs-compositeurs canadiens dans trois catégories (Junior, Intermédiaire et Sénior), ce concours vise à cultiver et mettre en valeur la créativité et la passion des élèves qui pratiquent l’écriture de chansons.
Au terme d’un processus de soumission et d’évaluation de plusieurs semaines, nous sommes heureux d’annoncer les lauréats dans chacune des trois catégories :

« Nous sommes immensément fiers de tous les participants qui se sont donnés à fond dans le cadre de ce concours », affirme Stacey Sinclair, directrice exécutive de la Coalition pour l’éducation musicale. « Le talent dont témoignent ces jeunes auteurs-compositeurs est profondément inspirant, et nous sommes heureux de leur offrir une plateforme leur permettant de faire entendre leurs voix et de partager leur créativité avec le reste du monde. »
En plus de la reconnaissance de leurs réalisations, les lauréats recevront des prix d’apprentissage expérientiel qu’ils pourront partager avec les autres élèves de leurs classes, y compris une bourse d’études en ligne du Metalworks Institute, des ateliers de création à Metalworks Studios, ainsi que des possibilités de mentorat auprès de professionnels de l’industrie, gracieuseté de SoundsUnite Canada.Les chansons primées seront également diffusées en ligne, sur le site Web et sur les réseaux de médias sociaux de LUNDI EN MUSIQUE.
Accords à cœur, le concours étudiant d’écriture de chansons vise à encourager la prochaine génération d’auteurs-compositeurs à s’exprimer par le biais de la musique, à développer ses compétences et à faire rayonner son talent. En offrant une plateforme à ces jeunes artistes, le concours cherche à cultiver la créativité et l’apprentissage, et à offrir les outils et le soutien qui leur permettra de poursuivre leurs aspirations musicales.
