I live outside the boundaries of the elementary school where I wish to register my child.

Parents may register their children at other schools not in their distinct or assigned core boundary providing:

  1. The parent is responsible for the child’s transportation to and from school.
  2. A child living within the school’s distinct or assigned program boundary is not displaced.

If there is no room at the school you wish to register your child, you should register your child at the school closest to your home.  Your child’s name can be placed on a waiting list for the following school year.

I live outside of the EMSB territory, and I would like to register my child at an EMSB school.

It is possible to register your child at one of our schools with an intra-board agreement.  You must request an intra-board agreement from the school board that serves the territory you live in.  Intra-board agreements must be renewed every year.

Students holding intra-board agreements may be registered providing:

  1. The parent is responsible for the child’s transportation to and from school.
  2. A child living within the EMSB territory is not displaced.

If there is no room at the school you wish to register your child, you may register your child at another EMSB school that has room.  Your child’s name can be placed on a waiting list for the following school year.
